A cobra of mares are led under a Jasmine covered arch on their way to the main palace courtyard.
This collection features images of pure-bred Andalusian horses on the grounds of a 16th century palace in Écija (Spain) from the book "Cárdenas: Horses & Home."
For this opulent coffee-table book I had the honor of being the only photographer ever to collaborate with world renown equine photographer Robert Vavra, who art directed these images.
Shot in 2003 mostly on 6x7cm Fuji slide film, I have now painstakingly "re-mastered" the original book scans to enhance these images for this collection.
